Spontaneous Omentum Hemorrhage Following Dual Anti-Platelet Therapy in a Patient with Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract

A 66-year-old man presented at the emergency room with an acute onset of left hemiparesis. Brain MRI showed acute corona radiate infarction. He was taking aspirin and clopidogrel. Three days later, he developed severe abdominal pain and abdominal distension. Exploratory laparotomy revealed hemoperitoneum and hematoma in the omentum. He recovered well and was discharged on the 7th postoperative day without complications. We present a rare case of spontaneous omentum hemorrhage in a patient with acute cerebral infarction receiving dual anti-platelet agents.
